I love silvers and blues.

That's going to be sick! You're going to love the turbos. I haven't run the 1100's yet but I assume they'll react just like the 1350's and they are awe inspiring! Congrats

I simply love the new Merc 1100 turbo's and think it will make an exhilarating experience and fun set-up for a '39. I spent much time with Fred and Mike of Mercury Racing in Miami. The setup is awesome. Possibly game-changing. It's a bad-ass engine on pump-gas (89 octane). I do like the 42XX but the '39 is a great boat for the lake I am on (Lake George) as well as for Poker Runs.

I will be using M8 drives over the six drives because it will enable the 1100's to be set down 2" lower in the boat than with six drives.

I am thinking a mostly silver, then gray/black (gloss and flats) stripes for the paint scheme. I will post the designs before the final choice is made. I hope to receive feedback on the paint design and whatever else I should be doing from the community here. Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Ken

Can these new engines be full staggered, ( like a 700 boat)
or will they be a short stagger ( like a 850/1075 boat) ?

Oh no.....same boat more power! RedMatter, you've just raised the bar. Congrats! Can't wait to follow Dream Boat II through the process.

Cheers

No, I mostly boat on Lake George. I plan on attending several poker runs in the northeast, especially the Thousand Island Poker Run which I have participated in several times before.

Great question, not sure the correct answer at this time. We spent some time with the drive combo to keep the center of gravity the lowest possible. Cig believes we should be able to keep the standard engine hatch with the M8 drives. If that holds true, then i believe they should be full staggered. However, I will discuss with Cig today to get the right answer. Thanks for asking.

Thanks. Never ran a turbo boat before. I hope they are a thrill like the 1350's, albeit 1100 hp instead. Understand the torque curve is really strong throughout the rpm cycle. Fred K. of Mercury Racing said the 1100's have the same or more torque than the 1200sci's.
