Personally, I would pass on the rear bolsters. Why ruin a uasable bench area? A nice bench is more user friendly (space-wise) in my opinion.

I only have an anchor, lines, swipes, and shore power cords in my flip up bench.
I think properly proportioned bolsters would give you more cockpit space especially with drop out seats.
As far as storage, create some side storage compartments for what goes in the bench seat.

X2...sitting in the rear bench in a stand up boat SUCKS! All you can see is the back of the front bolsters; solution, all stand or all sit.

Sound like another cool project, look foward to seeing the pics. Should be a very nice setup.

By the way, the darks and silvers will look very understated and classy in my opinion. I like red too but I think the direction you're going in works well.

I really like black / silver / purple.

Thanks much. You have me thinking. The more i think about it the more it makes sense. When back-seaters are onboard it will drastically improve their experience. I personally dislike sitting on a bench seat at speed. Hell, if not in the front seats the back bench can be a scary ride. I really get your point and appreciate your input. On the list to consider.

I really like the M8's and trannies. Super strong setup and lower center of gravity than six drives for the '39. Cig believes the rear hatch may be standard hight as a result and this is very important to me and the main reason for the setup. Should know by tomorrow actual height. When the boat is used locally and rafting in a bay, the rear hatch is a great space to hangout.

I am starting to see your point here. Sort of makes sense. Will consider.

You have described pretty much what I am looking for. First paint schemes should be available in the next day or two; of course I will post them all for consideration. Thanks.
