It was interesting at Bens with your 6s going on Mitches boat, Mitches 3As going on Todds 38. Wonder where Todds TRS went to?
Your 6s were so nice I thought it was a mistake to paint them blue. But, look they are awesome. Your gundrilled titanium tiebar doesn't hurt either:drink::drink:

Lol,....:drink:...................yes lots of mods between three boats.

Speaking of tie bars,....here is the monster tie bar (Titanium)
weighing. ( 9.6 LBS ) after gundrilling the inside out. Weighed 15 LBS.
before drilling. :drink:

( Mitch's 38 cig with wetsump #6 conversion 1:62 gear ratio)
Torque multiplier,....lots of mid range acceleration:eek:

Mitch Joppich 38' 1.62 ratio WETsump

Curt Ganos 38' 1.62 ratio also,.........not sure if Curts is Wet or dry?

Dan Adams or Nautikitty would know for sure.

Nautkitty ( Parnell ) also ran the 1.62 in his 41' Saber
and Curt and Parnell ran together alot.

All these boats are maintained, wrenched on or stored at the same camp,
See a pattern with the gear ratio? It Works! Pretty tight group of enthusiast.

Besides you'll do more boating in mid range than top end
so why not have a gear that gives you the acceleration factor?

Thanks
Jon

 I'm running that setup as well. It does pull hard in the mid-range!

all the above boats have a notched transom...cant you see this !!!!

A Flatdeck has no notch ! i only know of one that does and it was done after the fact by Gary Kollofski !

Not sure of Oldschools power or speeds.

But Curts and Mitchs both in the 90s with with 1.62 ratio
and Parnells 41 Saber im pretty sure was a touch over tripple
digits with the same gear..

So anything from normal cruising, ............pulling right up
to WOT is going to pull very hard and very quick with this gear ratio.

The 1.62 acts as a torque multiplier,.....so it adds a nice adrenaline
factor to it when you pushing on the sticks.

3500 puts me at about 52 mph, 4000 is right at 60.....and 6000 puts me in the 83-85 range with 29 pitch props.

Good to hear about the windshield. The template worked OK?

When I first got my boat, it had twin 1240HPs and ran 112. I ran it like that for the first year....then moved down to something a little more wallet friendly :D (big CI naturals). I'm sure that I'll move back up close to 1000's in a few years. It's paid for and I'll have it forever. :)

What power is Curt running. I think that I remember it being 950 Chiefs??? Mid 90's for speeds?
