Whats the fast model years 1980-90 Cig from the factory? No mods

I guess to clairfy, I have read on here and other places that with like for like power the Top Guns were slightly faster than the Cafe's.

There were some kevlar and carbon versions of the above made that shaved a little weight. No matter what though you need 550+ on each side to go low-mid seventies. They just aren't fast boats.

On a 1990 or older I think you need closer to 650 a side to see mid seventies. I don't know about the speedmaster boats but the TRS ones run 70 with 600hp.

80's flat deck 38 with 1000 HP each side and # 5's on boxes..100+

86-90 35 cafe with 600 a side and TRS 72 MPH
same with bravos 78ish but wont last

Yeah - I was thinking Bravo boats since that is what I have....
