Default Can you put sea strainers in a SS?

I have a 28 SS with twin 454's and considering sea strainers.

Has anyone installed them.......and where did you put them, there is just so little room. I also have two engine oil coolers mounted on the center rib below both engines.

You can mount to old style perko's on the center stringer in front of the motors close to the bulkhead. Would probably be the only place you can get to them without issue.

Center aft, possible, but would be difficult to service the strainers.
I dropped a pair of pliers down there a while back and fear I won't be able to retrieve them until I pull the engines....lol

I am not sure if my PM got thru, just in case here it is:

How large and what size hose connections are your strainers.

Did you have a price in mind for them.
