No one maintains a boat like this guy. It is in great shape and runs great. Been in it and rode in it many times.

Understand....he gets a bunch of calls and emails from people offering 100k ...but no one will look at the boat in person. He does not have to sell it, he just does not use it much with his grandkids around and we have no water in our local lake.

I do aggree with you on the money saved from buying a project boat vs. buying a turn key that has been maintained with a open checkbook. I have missed a lot of hours on the water stepping over dollars to pick up pennies...

What do people have to loose when making a $100k offer?? If your lucky, you might be the lucky guy after people have beat him down with lowballs, and your standing there with a check for $100k, he might say take the god damn thing and get out of here. That's how most people get a deal. Right place, right time, and people have had enough

I would have looked hard this boat had it not been for the covergirl cabin. I like the paint I am guessing it looks even better in person

i dont have a problem telling people to pound sand either, but after 100 low ballers, the guy standing there with a check looks more and more enticing haha

So true, I'm trying to sell one right now and I have rebuilt motors & drives. You would be better off driving the $hit out of it and selling it because your not going to get anything you put in out of it anyway.

Case in point. I had another boat (1983) years a go I bought for $@22K put $40K into it and sold it for $20K. I thought I could get at least $30K.

I made an offer on the boat too. I wouldn't keep the colors like they are, that's why I lowballed.
