Default Gladiators Staggerd vs Side by Side

If two Glad's have the same power one is side by side the other staggerd what would be the biggest differences.

Speed? Handeling? Ride?

I immagine the cockpit has more room in the side by side.

Thanks.

Just curious what the major difference was what bennifits staggered my have over side by side or vice versa......looking for someone that has the experience with both, I can test drive each but wont get a true feel that a lot of seat time will tell me.

Staggered - A bit Faster, smaller cockpit area, much better re-sale, possibly easier space to work on motors and will likely throw a rooster! Check up on OSO member RedBud's Glad. Nice, beautiful, well cared for boat. Listed with PBB at LOTO.

Side by Side - More cockpit space (not more than 1 foot), likely a bench seat, lesser of resale as demand isn't as high but you could possibly purchase at a lesser price point. A lot of side by side Glads are X race boats. However, not all and doesn't mean it isn't a nice boat. I don't believe you will find a side by side after 2003, but could be wrong.

May be a stupid question....why is this the case? I would think the faster setup would be the ex-race boats? Rules against staggered setups?

Thanks, Randy

The side by sides were the first ones produced. I believe Tres had the first one on the race course, Team Virgin... They Parked the twin step 38 and entered mid season with the 36 I believe in Corpus Christie, Texas... During that race there was rain and fog... There was no boat that could touch it! I believe that year they went on to win the Worlds with 1st place Podium... I believe Fountain/Snap On came in second.... There was some controversy in them stopping to help out a race boat and crew that spun if my memory is correct... Never the less, one awesome year for the Cig fans!! Cant forget the dancing Hula Girl....
