Default Cigarette Vice?

I have been considering stepping up to a smaller twin screw boat for awhile now, I was thumbing through an older "Powerboat" magazine that had a write up of a 50ft "marauder" with trip 850's, NICE!!!

Ahem, back to reality, the magazine also tested a 30ft Vice, which looked to me to be similiar to the "Mystique". Has anyone on here ever owned a Vice? I dont think I have ever even SEEN one! It looked to me like a killer boat, the one that was in the mag had 525EFI's in it and looked really nice.

ANY info/input would be greatly appreciated

Michael

Here are some pictures in this link...
The Vice and the Mystique are the same boat, but the Vice is just a new name. They both aren't made anymore though.
Here are some more pictures of a Vice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbIyj9Xmqak

Aside from the vice, this is the only other 30' I could find for sale.

If you dont mind going a little bit bigger there is the 31' Bullet also..

For that price it would be foolish to not go to a ts Gun or ts 35.

I agree, I realize a 30ft Cig is gonna be a good chunk more than the 29-36 Bajas I have looked at, but, 150K buys a pretty nice boat in this economy.

Thanks for the links/pics and please keep them coming. I havent been able to find much online.

THANKS!
Michael

The one I saw is in "Family And Performance Boating" the Aug. 2006 issue.

It has an orange/yellow hull with green stripes, it sounds gross, but, it looks killer!

Personally - I am of the opinion that when you upgrade boats you should go more than 5 feet.

I know that isn't good commentary on the Vice, but there are so many good deals right now on Cafe's and Gun's that I would try to swing the extra cash for the extra length. Just my .02.

Agreed, thats why I am looking at something around 30ft, however, I am a 2nd generation boater, so, I spent quite a few years piloting/docking there cruisers, including two 36ft Sundancers. I realize its an Apples to Oranges comparing the two, but, I do have some experience in bigger boats. I LOVE the Top Guns and Gladiators, but they are a little bigger than I would like for my "next" boat.
