I live in Louisiana and the water temps here doesn't get cold enough to have a need for thermostats, and as far as me adding in the crossovers I just want to clean up the motor area some.... It's just me I cant leave anything along I guess.

I hear ya, I don't run a thermostat either. Just make sure you check water pressure , hopefully you already have gauges. You don't want to be any higher than about 30-35 psi or you can start blowing gaskets. Good luck.

I have a cafe TRS setup cross overs and so on. No issue what so ever. I do have a relieve valve due to water spike if I ever come out and on landind spike the pressure. But i run 20/21 psi all the time and never have an issue. Its a simple change over and will not hurt anything due to cooling or so on. Do the swap and run the pig out of it. Good luck and post if you have any more questions.
