Just a curious question: Why does some big Cigarettes have 3 gear shifts when they only have 2 engines?

Throttles? If you have a boat with twin engines, you are going to have 4 sticks. Two big ones and two smaller ones. The smaller ones are to shift it into forward/neutral/reverse. The two big ones control the speed for both seperate engines.

What I mean is that I saw a 50 Marauder that had 5 shifters, 3 for gears
and 2 for gas. The boat had 2 Merc 1075s

Post a picture of the setup. Second of all, the only Marauders so far (i think) with twins has to be the new one built for Mr. Rozatti with the 1350's, or the gold/orange one with the twin 700's....never seen one with twin 1075's.....maybe you are thinkin of a 46' Rider?

Could be using the extra lever to operate an adjustable intercooler scoop.
