Default 28 winter project

i picked up this boat from long island in august, it needed 1 motor at the time, here it is on the way back from li to ga

got it back to ga and ordered up a new block pistons rods ect, while waiting on that to show up i removed the striping from the hull and deck, what a pain that was.

here it is stripe free.

the block showed up and back from the machine shop put a fresh coat of paint on and new studs,

rotating assembly in.

time for the custom Marine Kenectics cam to go in, thanks bob.

cam in now time to degree it

time to test fit the dart iron eagle heads to check pushrod bores for clearance had to grind on the heads a little to make room.

heads back off and copper spray the cometics and new timing cover

heads on intake on and set valvelash

blower on and valvecovers and exh on ready for the install

going in....yeah.

time to go break in the new motor

now its wintertime and back out they come to cleanup the engine bay..

engines out ready for the work

now comes the work

nothing like 15 years of saltwater

new terminal strips in and new wire ends/heat shrink

as it comes along i will update the progress, redoing other motor some new gauges and throttles stereo ect .......

thanks for looking.

Great looking boat. You can not beat the 28's. I kinda like the blue interior but afraid it would get a little warm in the summertime.

Enjoy the boat, they are a blast!!
