truth hurts huh? bottom line its a 22 yr old boat with an antiquated hull design. it's not worth anywhere near the 98k he's asking.

None of our boats are worth what we think and hope they are. Sad but true. I had a completely redone cigarette Cafe with new paint interior etc. The boat sold in 2 weeks in Sept of 2010 because I let it go for what the market bears. The other part is a lot of buyers today want a turn key boat with blue Merc power and they want twin steps as well. There are still buyers for the boats like this just not as many, and whensomeone has $100k to spend they can start to look at T/S with Merc power. The owner of this boat is looking for a unique buyer, he may just have to wait longer or reduce pricing to attract more buyers. He may do better selling the motors seperate and selling the hull and drives IMO. But as far as insulting him or his boat I think you should show a bit more class. It always amazes me the sh!!t people will say from the keyboard.

I knew when I mentioned the boat, I would risk the negative comments of a couple non paying members.......
In reviewing your history, you appear to be an expert on used boats sales and values in this country, as you enlighten many owners/sellers that their listings are inaccurately priced. Just a couple examples below:
Where did that 35 from Jersey go???

Is that your boat? Good luck trying to get $15k more than you paid for it a few months ago!

Would have sold it already if it was. The people calling you probably have 36's for sale for more money.
I was wondering if you were associated with NADA or BUC, since you have such knowledge on Cigarette's and other manufacturer's values? Have you ever driven a Cigarette Top Gun with 6's to test the design? I don't know if you've heard, but they actually perform pretty well in the rough stuff. You have smaller cat.....right? Bravos?
Thanks again for the opinion, but I can handle my listing. Who knows, maybe it will sell overseas...... outside of your area of expertise

Off topic, sorry:
Hey Cigother, did you purchase the Tiger in your avatar? AWESOME f*ckin' boat! Does it still have the huge Teague power in it? I've seen it run several times when it was in So. Cal. Love the dual paint scheme.

Thanks for the compliments. It will make a great boat for someone very soon.
Hey Tank, yes the Tiger made it over to New Orleans. It now has new Whipple charged Teague Engines with Big Tubes, 6 1/2 tails, etc. I'm looking forward to some more seat time, but so far it's a cool ride
