in the 04' Brochure Cigarette had the 42' Tiger the 42 Tiger T/S both of these were side/side with up to the 600SCi's The 42 XXX with tripple 525EFI's in it and B1's and the 42X stagered with whatever BIG power out there and 6's .

120 MPH according to Cobra? Wow, wonder how stable the boat is at that speed?

So tank (or others), how can you tell which bottom a 42 has by looking at it? That's something I think I'd want to know in a 120 mph boat.


BTW, congrats to the new owner's, at $150k to $170k the boat was a great buy (regardless of bottom)!

They are actually pretty easy to tell apart just by looking at the step position on the hull. The steps on the X are closer together. The first step is basically in the same position, but the second step is further aft on the tiger.

A post in the other thread made reference that the financing fell through.


What props was is it running to get the 120 mark?

The other guys financing fell through, not the current buyers. 17x33 5 blades and the boat ran 121....

Great to know, I think that is a great boat for that price, I would have loved to been able to swing it, but just not in my cards.......congrats to the new owners!!
