What is a 88 Bullet worth

What is a 88 Bullet worth in fair condition for a boat that age. It has Bravo drives and 502's with 280 hours on them. Does come with a newer trailer. It appears the boat has sat for the last 2 years.

That looks like the Cig that sat Just south of the GG bridge for a LONG time for sale.(2+yrs) Is it back up for sale, are you selling it? Would be a good project boat from what I remember last year when I wasn't looking.... I heard rumors that it sold and what the price was, but was never confirmed.

I am looking to buy it if the price is right. It does need some TLC.

Do you know any of the background? If it is the boat from the lake, I heard a few stories, basically it was a "breakup" that put the boat up for sale, but it sat there a long time.... I bet a thread on MWBP would get you tons of background. If I remember correctly it was priced around 39K (asking) at the time.

Basically, what ever you can get it for is the going price...

Biggus 05-30-2012 04:03 PM

I took a very good look at it for a buddy a few years back. It was rather rough for my taste. Lots of dock dings, dirty etc. Back then I thought it was a 20-25k boat.

I was thinking about offering low 20's. I am looking for something that is a project that I can still get out on the water with.

I only found a thread that Eddie started when he looked at the boat.

You may need to put a "anyone know this boat?" thread on there. I think your offer is in the right price range. I guess make the offer and see what happens. The set up in the boat is pretty standard and would be easy to fix along the way. Restoring an older boat could be alot of fun. With the few threads out there right now, sure has given me the bug...

I was wrong about the power turns out it has 502's. I did post something on midwest

We need more information. Freshwater? 500hp or 415hp? Exhaust? What kind of shape are the transom assemblies in? Has the dash been upgraded? Have there been any upgrades? Was it stored outside? Does it have external hyrdaulic steering? Could be anywhere from $20-50K using your description. My 28 Apache is for sale here on OSO and might be close to what your looking for and within your budget. Its turn key with 40 hours on new 502's.

The may have been updated but it looks like someone with spray can happy.
It appears to been stored out doors the last couple ot years and has not been used for sometime.

still havent sold that thing?? thats like a bad penny

jbraun2828 05-31-2012 12:32 PM

I wouldn't go any higher than 20k. A lot of unknowns with this boat. If your serious about it get a survey. A 20k boat can turn into a 50k boat in a hurry. Ask me how I know.

Tell that to all the cigarette owners on this forum with boats for sale for years. Say this boat might be a good choice for you, I gaurentee you won't need to buy three in one year. Then you wouldn't be running around like a moron with a 88bullet screen name while you own two pantera's. Might want to get that fixed.

not even sure on making a offer for 20 after seeing the motors.

TexomaPowerboater 05-31-2012 01:34 PM

Yeah most of the numbers guys posting seem pretty close, but then again I've seen people sell them for around $20K with no power.............so not sure the owner will sell it for that. I sure wouldn't. If it was me selling I wouldn't take less than $30K. Sure the motors look ruff, but they may need just as much work as a good running bullet with 4-500hrs and I've seen those listed for $40-50K. There are just a lot of seperate components on these boats. Those motors don't really scare me. I kind of like the crusader blue, but if they have sat they will need to be gone thru. There are a lot more seperate components on these bullets that need to be fixed from time to time.

hey a$$wad.. what do you think my first boat was?? and your pretty hung up on me buying 3 pantera boats in 1 year. why is it such a bad thing if i only sold 1 of them?? there is a reason i still have 2 of them and there is a reason noone will buy your apache... moron.

sorry for the hijack bullets are great boats. kinda slow but they ride the rough stuff awsome

Thats a flat out lie and you know it. I'm not goint to give it away. You give away your boats if you want to. Let me sell mine and mind your own phucking business. Stop mucking up the forums with baseless attacks on me that don't have anything to do with the thread subject.

BDiggity 05-31-2012 02:21 PM

First thing is to rename it!

Doesnt look like its in that bad shape. You should be able to do the cockpit upgrade all at once over a winter & then pull the engines to get them painted a better color. :)

Name has to go. I would redo the power over the winter. I will know Sat. if they take my offer.

black thunder 46 05-31-2012 06:23 PM

It isn't for lack of trying - he promotes it in every other ****ing thread on here, whether it's on topic or not.

It's always double of what is estimated

I passed on the Bullet and am buying the 28 Apache mentioned on this thread. Looking at it in person this weekend and hope to have it at LOTO next weekend.

Haha.

That will be a standout boat at LOTO next to all the Baja's, etc.

KCHOTBOAT 06-14-2012 08:17 AM

Morgan did sell a few Bajas at the lake.
