Default new Cigarette

Just bought an 07 39 Top Gun Unlimited with 700's and nxt drives and am starting to learn how to drive it in comparison to my 382 formula with 500's and bravos.

Any tips about getting on plane and how to trim out drives and use of tabs would be appreciated.

Getting on plane: tabs down to about 2-3, as the boat starts to rev and the props start to cavitate, feather back on the throttle a little and let the props bite. As you are doing this feather your tabs up once your planing off.

Make sure to not overtrim the boat when running. The 39's run nice with the trim on 1-2 running 30-60 mph and 2-3 50mph and up. Great running and handling boats! Enjoy!!

Congrats Quarter, I have the same set up only with six drives. I have never used the tabs running or coming on plane, boat doesn't need them at all. To find WOT sweet spot trim till you hit limiters than trim down until you get your max GPS speed. Works like a champ. Mine is about 4.5 drives, Zero tab.

Post some pictures and bring that baby to the Lake Cumberland Poker Run would love to see it.

i would put transom water pick ups on it if you havent already, if you trim up too much you will lose water pressure and put the boat in to guardian when running hard.
