Default 1986 Cigarette 28 "Time Machine" Mint w/28 hours!

Cruising Ebay tonight and this popped up....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CIGAR...item2a207304c5

No affiliation, just thought others might like to see what appears to be an all original 1986 28 in almost new condition.

Have a great night,

Dave

the guy is dreaming at 49,500. Cut that starting bid in half and he would get some bids.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. If that boat is all original and in very nice, almost new condition, very possible to the right buyer.

Agree, to the "right" buyer who wants possibly the only like new unmolested CIG 28 in the world..$49K is a bargain.

Besides, if a Lip Ship Restoration of a CIG 20/24/28 lists for around $100,000... shouldn't a like new all original be worth more? You can restore or rebuild anything...but you can't recreate an all original preserved example of anything.

This boat is for a collector, not for JQ Public...and IMHO priced accordingly. Also the price will hopefully keep it out of the hands of someone who would just buy it and start modding it and destroy the originality of something so rare.

Of course, that is IF it is as it is represented.. but judging from the pics it certainly appears to be.

Here are some pics...wanted to snag these before the auction (and pics) disappears.

That boat looks brand new. Very nice. I think the owner did drop the price some. I thought it was listed closer to 60 or 80 on the other thread. I bet if he waits long enough owner could get 35-40K for it.

Curious to what price a "new" cig 28' went for back in '86?......I suspect double the asking price.....no?
