Looking at a 1990 35' Cafe. Nice boat but seems a little high? $67,950 for a 22 year old boat? is that in line?

If it is the boat at PBC go look at it. In great shape, great people to work with too. I've been trying to get a buddy of mine to go look at it.

IMO - Yes, price is in line. You get a nice boat, with updates, newer trailer, etc. Yes, you can find a Cafe cheaper, thing buyers needs to realize (I am guilty, too) is the money you end up putting into a cheaper boat, plus the purchase, typically exceeds the already maintained/updated boats purchase price, plus your time and a$$ pains fixing the cheaper boat.

Here's a 1990 for $50K:

Cafe Racer

As an owner, I certainly like that $67k price for a Cafe better than $28k!

Yes I understand that. A friend of mine said a turn key boat is worth that (so did 36Envision). You don't have the hedache of rebuilding engine its already done, paint is already done, interior is already done. PLus if you buy a Cig for $28k what do you have to do to it to bring it where you want it and how much will that cost in time and dollars? Something to be said for turn key.

As much as I don't want to say this 67 is kind of high considering what some of the other NICE cafe's on this website have sold for.

Also - That is more than I paid for my 1990 in 2006 - mine had fresh power at the time as welll as all the niceties (MM Strainers, CMI's, Swim Platform, Spare Props, etc.....)

I ran 59 mph at 4000 rpm on my cafe the first run out and ended up having two hurt motors. 540 hawks with #3s and 28p blades. Should be around 650 hp 548 cid engines now once it’s back together next month and then I’m gonna shoot for mid 70s plus

2000 35 Top Gun LE (cafe hull). 500 HP's on 26's. 70 any given day. 72 best. We call it the Ron Popiel boat..."Set it and forget about it".

You should see 73ish. Had 650 HP a side in our gun with 3A's and we were at 75 on a good day. Guns hull is more efficient than Café.
