To me Cigarette is just like Ferrari.

1. Name - This is not a negative thing.
When was the last time you heard someone ask is that one of those Scarab boats?
Cigarette is like Kleenex or Band-Aid. It got that way because of -

2. Quality - Always had it and always will.
3. History - Speaks for itself.
4. Benchmark Status - It seems everything is compared to it.

I've worked on a lot of different boats over the past year and none of the other brands were built or rigged as well as a cigarette

One of the things that REALLY does it for me is the looks.

I am just head over heals for the looks of a CIG. When one is sitting in the water and you're looking at it straight on, yuo can just tell it's a CIG.

Man, I'm pumped abotu the Poker Run tomorrow now.....

I have owned 2 and like the others have said very well constructed and rigged. My first performance boat was a Fountain, there is no comparison to the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. With that said you will pay more for a Cig,. I recently bought a 21 year old Powerplay and have been very impressed with the build quality!

+1. Lot of people don't realize these boats are only an 8ft beam. Most others are 8ft 6in. Thin sharp knife will cut better than a fat dull one. Consistently overbuilt is a good way to describe the construction. Thick solid glass hulls with no core......atleast on the running surface combined with the tremendous loyalty of their employees are why they are so well contructed.

The smooth Ride I think is number one in my book, especially on Lake Erie..

I recently left the ranks of Cigarette owners and, while I loved my Cig for what it was, I am absolutely thrilled with my new (to me) OL. Someone equated Cigarette to Ferrari. As a Ferrari owner, I would say the comparison is more fairly to HD, and the relationship of my Old Cig to my new OL would be comparable to a HD to a Ducati. Cig has a great history and has done a fantastic job of capitalizing on its brand such that anyone should be proud to own one; that being said, there are other, lesser known makes out there that have made some performance innovations that are very attractive. My $0.02.
