Back in 1973, my family had a summer home on the bay in Ocean City, Md. There was a kid my age that had a Magnum (red and white) his father was in real estate. I used to see the boat go out and always said I would have one one day. Well I didnt buy a Magnum, but I love my Cigarette and have owned many boats including jet and v-drives, outboards, etc. By far the best built and rigged boat I have owned. And yes, if I had 600k to buy a new go-fast it would be a Cig.

the straight sides of the boat makes "that" look for a cigarette....
most boats bubble out or in to some degree

But I understand what you are saying.

Dave, I am with you on this one... The 28ss has always had a strong following. As an entry level boat it would be great. I remember in 97 when one of the Cig guys built a 28 that everyone drooled over. It's a great freshwater boat and has great offshore capabilities and is easy to tow. It's a great place to start....IMO!

Cool

OL's suck. They ride in the water like they're pushing nose down thru the water. Cigs have better lines, carry the bow much better and CRUSH way bigger waves. If I had $9,000,000.00 I'd buy a cig before I bought an OL. There's ONLY ONE #1....

For me its always been and always will be the attention to detail, the difference cockpit configurations and speaking specifically about the step bottom boats the ride is second to none and miles ahead of flat bottom boats

The lines are timeless and stand alone. I love a lot other boats, but the cigs have always had the best lines!
