Original cost of 1986 35 Mistress?
 

Does anyone know approximately what one of these boats cost when new?
Mine is a 35 540/575 Hawk power, #3 drives etc...

I often wonder what mine was new... mine came with 330's as far as I know....trs

If you add the parts up in your head, they had some HIGH RENT equipment on them I have been told those Stellings headers with tails were over $10k per engine alone!

Original brochures and price lists that I have in my collection are from August 1, 1984 and state that Cigarette produced two 35's in 1984. One was a 35L with a base list price of $86,800 and a 35S with a base list price of $112,300 both are/were available with an array of optional equipment. Another price list I have from June 8, 1983 shows the 35L at 80,000 and the 35S at 112,000 just to give you an idea of price increase from 83 to 84. You can get an idea of what the increase would be in 1986. The 35L came with 330/TRS and the 35S came with 400/TRS Cyclones.

Digging further into the price lists the Hawk/#3 package in 1984 was an additional $64,800

65K WOW!!!!!!!! Im assuming that is additional to the price of the 35L. I would think its a safe be that My particular boat listed for $150k plus any additional option. Thanks, that was ALOT of $$$$$$ in 1986!!!

using inflation calculator $150k in 1986 is same as 306k in 2012
problem is to buy a similiar boat and power( 35 with 600s and speedys) new today from Cigarette would probably be close to twice that.

hahaha! I believe the original owner of mine was username 10X on this board as he posted a picture himself and a woman on it, docked and of the engines. I have tried to contact him several times to no avail. It was then sold to Mark Crum in MI who passed away and a marina ended up with it, bought from Marks wife. The guy I bought it from in MD, purchased it from this marina. I have a multitude of paper work on it.

Does anyone know how many of each model they built per year? I wish there were better records kept. It had to be a limited market $$$$$$$$$ and as much that goes into rigging alone, it must have been a slow process to pump one of these out. I feel as if I have a considerably rare boat with Hawk Power and #3 drives, Stellings, race hatches etc. I know that doesnt make it any more valuable or desirable for the most part because any Cigarette of this vintage is unique.
