Congrats Mike, wish I had a chance to run her before she left LOTO. One of the coolest boat I've ever sold.

I hear ya... I had just sold my Top Gun in January and Mike sold his 40 performance. We both said we weren't going to buy squat until after the elections. But we felt good about Romney wining... Guess you can't under estimate the power of freebies and handouts... Anyway, we decided that since we're always boating together anyway, why buy two more boats, let's pitch in and buy one, so here we are with AM2. Kind of wish we had waiting, but I'm not letting Obama steel our fun. Thanks for all the advice and tips on the boat. I had a question for you, someone told me that the boat has a transmission problem, ever have any trouble with them? Starboard transmission fluid is a little brown. We have TNT and Lipship working on it now.

Only transmission problem was after mercury refresh....
One broke 10 hours in, some how the warranty wasn't a warranty, then I buy a new one, it broke getting on plane, then I buy another new one, it broke getting on plane, fixed this one by another shop and it worked fine for the next 25 hours before I sold it. 25k later and I'd say it didn't have a transmission problem. Just someone wanting to spend 25k of my money. Funny thing is I ran into Mark with Bam in key west. Was all smiles until I told him who I was, I just said I'm over the past drama.

No bashing intended but with a million dollars wasted on 5 boats I'd say this is the only issue that still makes my stomach turn. Merc pointed to Bam and Bam, well I'm still not sure of their position

And yea it was always the starboard. Meant R&R of the frickin motor. Just disconnect ram rods to hatch and fold hatch back. Then lift and slide motor forward. I think my mechanic could do it in his sleep.

We'll keep an eye on it, and thanks again for the info. Other than a few minor repairs the boat seems to be in excellent shape. A bunch of us from the left coast are going back out to Miami next month for a run to Key West. We're looking forward to running this thing.

It came with a cockpit cover, and I think that there's a set of headphones in there already. Is it a full cover or just a bow cover?

Bow cover that goes over the nose, snaps along the sides, over the wind screen and fastens to the pop out mooring cleats. Much more manageable this way.
