I'm on board with it not being a Cig. I've studied the picture hard against pics of mine. The lines of the boat are just different. The sides of a 28 Cig are a little shorter in height than that boat.

I wish I could see a more clear pic of the bow to see if it has a spine running down the length of it. If it was a Cig it would have the spine. Can't tell for sure from the pics, but it doesn't look like it has one.

86 was the last year for the 28 with the exception of one special one built in 97

I know the "special" one you speak of.

I sent the number in the ad a text asking if I could get a Hull# to verify the make of the boat. Told him I had suspicions that it may be a Pantera or something different. He quickly replied that a Pantera has a flat windshield not a pointed one. I replied nicely saying that all the Panteras I had been in had pointed fairings like the one in the pic, could I get a hull # to verify?

He was VERY nice in his replies and said he didn't have the number handy but would be happy to get it for me tomorrow. He did say he had an appointment to show it this weekend and that he had lots of interest in the boat.

I didn't want to piss him off anymore and tell him I didn't think Cig made a 28 in 1988. He was nice enough to answer me and I didn't want to ruin it.

Dont think it is a Pantera, I have an 88 and it is different then that one. The deck on that one at the transom is raised a Pantera is not it is flat just above the rub rail.

not a cig, pantera or saber.

Saber never had a V wind screen.

I would say its a fake of something. Because a seller should know that its a pantera, saber, powerplay....

Seller told me he would get me a Hull # a few days ago. Sent him a text reminding him about it. Still no reply. He had several replies to me saying why he knew it was a Cig. All of them were shot down quickly with my replies.

I may call him and remind him m
