Yes I will have dyno videos!!

Both Short blocks are together!! Joe is going to come out this weekend and measure pushrods and degree the cams!!


Mounting the Pistons on the Rods





Loosening the rod bolts in the rod vice





All the pistons installed on the rods (Put them back in the bags till I was ready to install them in the block)

Setting the Ring Gaps





All rings gaped to their cylinder





Installing the rings on the pistons





Oil Rail Support





All the Rings Installed





Dropping the piston into the bore!

Torqued all the rod bolts!





Both 540ci Short Blocks ready to go!!

You should be 548 with the 4.530 bore, shouldn't ya?

Yes you are correct it is a 548 now!!

Joe from Fast Forward came out tonight. We checked everything below on both engines!

Joe Degreed both cams

Checked piston to valve clearance with a dial indicator. (Had a mile of clearance!!)

Checked Valve radial clearance (Again had a mile of clearance!)

Measured Pushrods. Both engines use the same length pushrods but never the less we measured both engines!

Checked camshaft position with the lifters

Checked Camshaft endplay

Joe scheduled my dyno time in 2 weeks! I have some work to do now!!
