Here are pictures of the 84 flat deck, side-by-side, with a full interior, Cigarette that I had several years ago, running PSI blown BBC, #5 drives on Stellings box's. The best top speed I ever saw on GPS was 104.

What propshaft height did you use on the new 6's? I have heard of 1.5 inches above the bottom is used now?
The one thing that was clearly obvious to me while boating in the keys last week was that it's a completely different animal in salt water as opposed to the brackish water of home (Chesapeake Bay). First off, the boat didn't stop as fast when I would let off the gas in the salt. At home, it seems to slow down and come off plane much faster. Secondly, I was able to trim the boat at lower speeds and experience no porpoise whatsoever. In the brackish waters of home, I can not trim the boat at all without having to "drive" it. I have to trim it just a little bit at a time and let the boat settle in before trimming it further. Running in the salty blue waters was much more enjoyable and I was able to just trim it like a Bravo boat.....but I'm not sure if it's worth it due to the massive amounts of cleaning that I had to do to get all of the "stuff" off.:angry-smiley-044::angry-smiley-044: |
Thanks, any pictures from the Keys? A little salt won't hurt it when you clean it as you do.

In my opinion, the Florida Keys are the best boating that I've experienced. That stretch of water between Gilberts and Islamorada is awesome with the blue water! Can't wait to do it again!! |

Your boat looks great as always Craig & sounds like it's running just as good  |
We are used to the Coating, I think it is Calcium. We use Muratic acid to remove. Dont get it on the plastic. Great on Stainless Props but need to coat with oil afterwards to season the metal again. Great Pictures. Bring the boat back and run to Key West with us in Nov. Beautiful Boat. Have a great Summer.

Kshrum - did you guys ever get this one together with the 1250's and 6's??? |
Matt, I think you should start a thread about OLD SCHOOL and its latest changes. OSO Cig forums could use some excitement!

I don't want to jinx it and want to know for certain before publishing....but...I will share for sure as soon as we get a bit further along. Really excited to bring Old School back to how Craig had it (It's under the magical care of Dave Wesseldyke at Wesco currently getting built) .....the plan is certainly to put it strongly in the exclusive 110+ club again...for now I'll give you just a little hint....it starts with "M4" and it ends with "giant HP"...stay tuned! :evilb: |

Life is phucking excellent!!! Riding around in OldSchool III, sipping 87 octane gas with virtually no maintenance. Playing a bunch of golf and tennis, drinkin a little bit of beer on the weekends and doing a fair share of fishing and crabbing. I have enough friends down here that I still get an occasional "need for speed" fix when needed. So happy that Matt now owns OldSchool II. Can't wait to see the results!!! Carry on!!! Craig |
