There is one that comes to Kelley's island sometimes I heard its just over 100 but never verified... Supposed to have 1100's don't remember drives... It sounds like 1100 hp engines big CI and big blowers

buddy Curts i think has seen 95 or maybe a little more around 96-97. "primal instinct" 6s with 950 chiefs

cfischer 03-07-2013 06:15 PM

what about that black 42 staggered race boat? had big power with 5's or 6's??

Perlmudder 03-07-2013 06:19 PM

OLDSCHOOL has wet 6's and big blower motors

That is a beautiful boat. Well done. Too bad it's priced 75k high.

Fixed that for ya. ;)

I don't know of a side by side TG that went faster than mine when it had Sonny Leonard quad-rotor 1240's in it. It ran 112.

Some of the staggered boats went a little faster, but I've never heard of another side by side that got over 108...

Yeah that's "Doug's" boat now. It's a 90MPH Edition Top Gun with some big blower motors in it. 5 man bolster & barn door hatches make it look so hardcore.

Oh and PS: Craig's boat "Old School" has to be the fastest with that setup when he had the quad whipples.

Yes that's it! Man that was a cool boat at the time, & even cooler now. The current owner has done an outstanding job redoing it. Over 100mph? That's so awesome to hear.

Yeah it used to be "The Dealer" & my Dad owned it for like 7 years or so. I used to be the only one that would take it out normally so it was kind of "my" baby during those years. People would take pictures of it all the time.

It really needed to be redone when we traded it to Phil years ago, so to see it in the condition it's in now is one of the coolest things I've gotten to see on OSO. Thanks for posting the pics & hooking me up with an update.

That is super cool. Even cooler is the fact you own a twin to your dads (and your) old boat. I just like the father / son connection thing. It's very cool.

Doug's boat has Donovan block 1000s in it. Dave Wesseldyk has "massaged" them a few times over the years.

I got a ride in that thing in some good ol' Lake Michigan 5' waves...I was the happiest deaf guy at the dock afterwards.

One of the ORIGINAL 90mph Cigs.

Good call...RWD (Pfaff 1000's / #6's) was bumpin' 100

"Ruckus" was mid 90's but had X dimension issues (Pfaff 100's /#6's). "Come Fly With me" was bumpin' 100 (Zul 1000's /#6's)

And yes, Hot For Teacher is a TS and runs 110ish

With the right water, mine runs a strong #. High X Dimension 3A's and 1:62 Ratio and some Cobra Power. Not the fastest, but....

Could use some different wheels

I think it's cool too. Dad got a 400ss after his red boat & hasn't looked back, lol. He still likes to go for a ride every now & then though. I think he needs a Huntress :evilb::drink:

Slims! What a heavenly place that was. :ernaehrung004:

We still have the spot for the 400 over at The Port, but we didn't take it down there this year. I really think my folks would like to buy something else to keep in Florida full time, instead of bringing the 400 back & forth each season. Another 400, or a Cigarette Top Fish would fit in the spot we own with no problem, & would be way fun for us on the Intracoastal! :ernaehrung004:

Thanks for all the info the reason i was asking is my dad is in the process or repowering his he has an 89 kevalar tg that had 900hp cobras with #3 drives and the boat ran 93 to 95 but now he is putting 1250s and #6s in it so we are just trying to figure out what it might run now
