Setup and X dimensions along with gear Ratio's are a big deal in these straight bottom guns. My Transom has been glassed 3 times to change x dimensions. They were setup very conservative to start.

That's awesome. Lately theres been lots of talk in regards to the 3, 4, 5, drives being questionable with some power. Ive always been a supporter of these old drives, and their durability. I'd love to see a bravo live for 13 years behind a pair of 900's in a top gun, with just oil changes! More than likely theyd be on their 13th gear set by now...

Sorry to get off topic. Back to the bad A$$ guns...

What propshaft height did you use on the new 6's? I have heard of 1.5 inches above the bottom is used now?

Default 84 flat deck side-by-side

Here are pictures of the 84 flat deck, side-by-side, with a full interior, Cigarette that I had several years ago, running PSI blown BBC, #5 drives on Stellings box's. The best top speed I ever saw on GPS was 104.

Mine is 3/4" above the transom for the drive bullet. I was told that it was rigged for the #6's by JT at TNT. Art Lilly blueprinted the bottom. It's an incredible feeling when the boat lifts at speeds over 70 and the hull frees up. I think that it would be much easier to drive at lower speeds whith a 1" spacer in it with the 800's that I'm running now.

The one thing that was clearly obvious to me while boating in the keys last week was that it's a completely different animal in salt water as opposed to the brackish water of home (Chesapeake Bay). First off, the boat didn't stop as fast when I would let off the gas in the salt. At home, it seems to slow down and come off plane much faster. Secondly, I was able to trim the boat at lower speeds and experience no porpoise whatsoever. In the brackish waters of home, I can not trim the boat at all without having to "drive" it. I have to trim it just a little bit at a time and let the boat settle in before trimming it further. Running in the salty blue waters was much more enjoyable and I was able to just trim it like a Bravo boat.....but I'm not sure if it's worth it due to the massive amounts of cleaning that I had to do to get all of the "stuff" off.
