I'm in the middle of a conversion now. I looked at the Konrads but just couldn't come up with the cash with out cutting many other things on the list. In the end I hope to have 525's efi and bravo with imco shorty lowers.
If I get mid to high 70's I'll be happy |

If I get mid to high 70's I'll be happy 525's is not going to put you past 75, and probably more like 71-72...... |

If you don't already have the shorties you might want to search on here. Someone (either SKRAMER or SEA-DATED I believe) tried shorties with no real gains.

I've found on a lot of these old heavy non stepped hulls, props turning in carry the nose much better

I am a Konrad guys. Love the idea and reliability. I believe when you get into the 700+ Hp range they make more sense than the Bravo's on these heavy boats when they are run in areas like the Great Lakes or Ocean. They do come up in the swap shop or classified here and there but are expensive. As for the TRS, I've never blown one with 450HP in a race 28' Cigarette and multiple 38' Top Guns with 750HP. Problem is one day parts are gonna be harder to find than they are now.
