Top end AFR looks good, mid-range way lean for gas around here. |
One problem solved
I took apart the oil stat and that opened at 175* right on the money so having eliminated that, step 2 and the problem:
http://33outlaw.zenfolio.com/img/s9/...88329483-4.jpg http://33outlaw.zenfolio.com/img/s10...64091744-4.jpg Gauge seems to get worse exponentially, 20* off at 160*. at 174* its 55* OFF!!!! Wrong sender? Bad gauge?? |
Check ground to gauge behind dash. Excellent progress Dan.

good find. I'm sleeping better now

Glad to see oil temp really wasn't that hot. Good detective job! There are a couple resistance ranges in temp senders. You may want to contact Auto Meter and see which one works with their gauge and measure yours. Or take shot and buy their sender and repeat your water temp test.

Dan says new correct sender installed and now gauge is reading properly.

Both senders are market -27 , I should have OHMed em out to see where they were at but I think the sender was correct just went bad.
