I agree. We haven't touched the primary jets, or power valves in the primaries. Glad they haven't burned up yet, they had to have been this way for a while. All we did was remove the rear power valves that were giving us the mid 9 afr at 4000+.

Default One problem solved

I took apart the oil stat and that opened at 175* right on the money so having eliminated that, step 2 and the problem:





Gauge seems to get worse exponentially, 20* off at 160*.

at 174* its 55* OFF!!!!

Wrong sender? Bad gauge??

Glad to see oil temp really wasn't that hot. Good detective job! There are a couple resistance ranges in temp senders. You may want to contact Auto Meter and see which one works with their gauge and measure yours. Or take shot and buy their sender and repeat your water temp test.

Both senders are market -27 , I should have OHMed em out to see where they were at but I think the sender was correct just went bad.
