+1 seems like some real dedication to keep it perfect. Never seen a custom canvas cover for a boat trailer before

How are the gladiators in rough water? Speed with 525s ? looks like a clean boat!

GL@PBC 10-28-2013 09:56 AM

We had four people in the boat through some pretty rough water and saw 88 on GPS, but we were in and out of the water so much we couldn't keep her hooked up long enough to stretch her legs, I'm guessing top end around 95 in the right conditions.

SkaterMike82 11-01-2013 10:53 AM

That's Joe from Miami old boat....That is oneof the nicest Glad produce or out there. When he had it, it was clean.

jawbreakerkid 11-01-2013 08:31 PM

Actually, I believe that boat came from Havasu. If I remember correctly, a friend of Jeffrey Cheng owned it and Mike bought it and it has been at LOTO ever since.

Very close looking to Joe's though. I owned it for about 18 months, fun boat.

The pastel glad was redone by Phil a couple years ago. He recently got it back and it's currently for sale on his website.

Those pics were from Havasu...Cheng and the original owner of the blue/white glad had just gotten both of them and were out tearing up the lake. Great trip!

TBAG 11-06-2013 05:42 PM

If the OP can't find one he likes out of the two amazing examples in this thread then I don't know what to say lol!

Toll booth incident??? I'd love to hear this

Sydwayz 11-12-2013 11:57 AM

Had beers with the owner of the Gladiator that Phil has for sale. Phil stated this particular boat did not have any incident as previously mentioned.
My apologies for any confusion.

SS930 11-13-2013 09:00 AM

I also don't believe the Glad pictured on Phil's site was the one that was redone after previously doing battle with the toll booth.

What ever became of Cheng's old Glad? If this is the same boat I'm thinking of, it was stripped and hanging in limbo for the longest time on NL's site.

Chengs Glad went to a guy in Az for a few years. Then during a test run with a potential buyer it rolled on Havasu. It did finally sell, went missing for a while and popped up on NL site totally stripped. It was bought by a guy in Texas who put it back together (actually did a decent job). It was sold for under 100k and unknown where it is now. Same paint as it's always had (pictured above) when it was sold out of Texas.

SS930 11-13-2013 06:07 PM

Well Im glad to hear it was bought and put back together, I'm sure someone here knows where it is today. Sharp boats (both the red and the blue one). :)

cigrocket 11-14-2013 07:34 AM

Yes, it was redone with Brad Smith Power. Ran over a buck

endeavor1 11-14-2013 08:31 AM

The new owner of chengs old gladiator is on here. I want to say it ended up near Austin TX

fastoys 11-17-2013 06:38 PM

I'm selling my 03 staggered gladiator. 09 my Co 41 hrs on refresh. Awesome boat!

SMOKING_GUN2 11-19-2013 05:01 PM

Gladiator at lipship is absolutely gorgeous. What do you guys think of price. To me it is still an 05 Cig. Drive away whats the boat worth in the gladiator market.

TMR 11-19-2013 06:48 PM

Updates are new, boat looks great, and you know exactly what you are getting. When you call, Phil will answer your questions. This is why most of his boats are never for sale long, people know what they are getting. Plus you know the setup is "DEAD NUTS" and he will show you how to Run it to the edge on Biscayne Bay......Wish I had the coin

tim mccray 11-21-2013 11:15 AM

The Gladiator at Phils is pretty bad ass. I just saw it a couple of weeks ago in his showroom. If someone didn't tell you what year it was you'd never guess. It looks brand new, and is really gorgeous. Completely rebuilt by Phil and when he does a project he does it right and stands behind his stuff, no corners cut and no BS. If you're serious about buying one you should show up and see it in person and see what kind of deal he can work out for you.

seltzer 11-21-2013 12:02 PM

Ive been on the boat. All I can say is AWESOME. Actually better than new if that's possible.
