Thats is fricken sweeet!!! Nice work
Seriously though. Would you be willing to quote prices on: The machined billet new style hatch lift arm? The machined swim platform? Machined billet bolster bases? Machined billet handles on the back of the seats? Or handles that work work on the walls for the rear passengers? Oh yeah, foot rests for the cockpit would be sweet too. |

Do we know what cig gets for a billet swim platform? About $35,000K if I had to guess.... |
we can quote prices on anything. just be ready when you get into the big stuff since the cost of billet aluminum gets crazy sometimes. but we would be happy to quote prices. we can also anodize the parts to a variety of different colors. we will take some measurements from stuff on our cigs and do up some drawings and i can post pics for people interested. so who is gonna be the first to pony up for a billet swimplatform??
Oh man No love for the soccer mom?

my transom is 86 inches wide if i remember correctly. im having a tubular one made right now from aluma metal fab. i would say roughly 2 feet deep and 6-7 feet wde will cover the whole transom if desired. i would also guess minimum 1 inch thick to prevent flexing. see what you have for material and we can cut, engrave any design and pattern into it.
Are the new ones curved to match the curvature of the transom? If you look at the rub rail, it has a rise to it. not sure if they contour the platform to match, or if it;s a flat piece of plate/billet. I will look around the shop, and make a few phone calls for estimates...
the only one i know that is curved is the one on the back of spirit of apache. every other one i have seen is just flat. i think they started with 4 inch and milled it down to fit the crown of the deck. that might get expensive for material lol
How much $$ are you talking to do this stuff like footrests, etc..? Not materials, just strictly a machining and labor cost?
it varies with how indepth of a design you want. got an idea?? shoot me a pm with what your thinking and i can get you a price quote. just need size of what you want done and a quick sketch on a napkin of the design you want and can shoot you a quote

Here are some pictures of the Blue One on the Top Gun
The Red One I had Fabricated for the Mistress and I also had a white one made for the Sonic. DO NOT BUY A WHITE SWIMPLATFORM if you have Thru Hull Exhuast. Tuff to keep clean |
Not too derail the thread but I wish Offshore had a anti slip as an option... on my boat you slip on the race hatches and its a slip and slide right on top of the props.

How about some fender holders? Seems like someone could do better than $400 for a dual
we are measuring for those as we speak. want the outerlimits logo on it?

Phil wants 9k for a new platform
How thick is the thickest part?
trying different things. may start with 2" thick so when designs are cut into it it will stay strong and not flex. instead of cheap ass grip tape we are trying a mild knurling for a non slip surface.
Did you have the blue one fabricated? If so, by who? It looks great!!!! Like OEM...

BTW, thinking about this a little... you could also sell add-on billet logos to add to existing tube platforms. This would obviously be a lot cheaper and still looks really nice.
Here's the one on my OL (before I painted it). It looks really sharp in person and all the deep engraving on the billet plaque offers a lot of traction. I'd have to measure the thickness of it, but I believe it's about .250" or .375" thick. http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps7df82396.jpg |
foot rest is next. they can be done with either cig logo or script (cigarette racing team), plain billet or anodized
if you have certain items you need made that are fairly simple ie. radio plaque / plate, dash plaque or any flat surface that you would like a logo in just ask and send dimensions and i'm sure it can be done.
