Default Quick Question 42 Tiger

Does Cigarette make the 42 Tiger in a staggard configuration? I am concidering new boats and am curious. I have seen Fountain 42s with it but no cigs.

Ray - Cigarette has not made any Tigers with a staggered setup yet. Whether they can or not is a question for Neill at Cigarette. If you have looked into the engine compartment of a Tiger you will notice that space is limited and it is unlikely that you could have a staggered setup unless it was with Bravo drives where no transmissions were required. You could then (possibly) rig it with a short stagger.

Although my info is a bit dated, I believe they said that you could get a short stagger without the rear bench. I suppose that means 5/6 man bolsters? I didn't confirm that.

However, being a custom shop, I would guess they'd do just about anything, provided the appropriate $'s accompany the request. 8^0

My whole Idea of the staggard drives is for service. I like to do things myself and the side by side twins are all but impossible to work on in my Powerquest. The compartment in the standard tiger with side by side is huge compaired to my PQ but If staggards were a viable option and available this is what I would seek. I guess I just have to look at the Rough rider! (I wish)

Thanks!

raypanic,

Servicing is definately easier, but also remember docking a staggered boat can be a pain in the buttucks. So take that into consideration if you have to dock in a lot of tight situations

Brad, thanks looks like ther is room to stand in front of the engines. That would be a lot easier too. I need to see some cigs up close. Only ones I have seen were at the Miami boat show. BUt no 42's

Buzzinbye,

Good point! never even concidered docking would be different makes sence though. Thanks

MrMagloo
I was trying to show that there is a good bit of room to work on the engines in a regular configuration!
