Lets see the finished product. Those pic are the surveyor I would say its finish no? Im going fact not bashing or banging. I see the bilge blower siting in side a string, over spray on the switch panel, over spray on the floor, no compass, cracked paint under the switch panel on the dash ect. Lets get finished pics upclose and away on the trailer and then make an educated decision. Fair ?

Perhaps you are right Stinger, lets give OP benefit of the doubt.

But seats can be seen in pics that they are installed so one would think it is done, maybe OP would be so kind as to put his survey up that he had for all of us to see. The complete survey :)
Description:
Here is a just finished Cafe done by Upstate Powerboat. We are a new shop located out of the syracuse NY area. We built this boat to bring it out to LOTO for the shoot out. It was previously being built for a client who backed out. So now its for sale here. The boat was stripped to a shell, and brought back to where it is now. Complete new PPG paint. Simplified the bilge and rigging. Brand new interior as well. The only thing not addressed was the gauges. The boat is an 89, two owner. clean title. 454/420 TRS boat. 344 orig hours. gimbals are tight! no slop! It runs 62 on GPS in 1' chop with full tank and 2 people. with 21p 3 blades. comes with brand new spare set. More top end can be had with different props. We put a leak down on both motors and they checked out and both motors run strong!! The cuddy is a 8/10. and is perfect for a weekender! comes with brand new spare props with prop holders. There is no cracking at all on this boat. It was actually in AWESOME condition when i bought it. The orig owner kept it at a marina out of LI and he just ran it. The marina upkept the boat. Though it was neglected for some amount of years before we got out hands on it and brought it back to life. There is too much to list, please call and we will walk you through the boat. The boat comes with a HEAVY duty trip axle trailer. 6 brand new bearings and 6 tires. 2 new fenders. new lights. etc etc. We have many, many more photos please dont hesitate to ask! Some of the photos are before final assembly! The boat can be seen any time just call ahead to schedule a time. The boat has had a survey last week and can be made available. it has 0% moisture, sea trail went awesome. we deleted the mechanical fuel pumps and went with electrical. easier starting. if you run the tanks dry, its very easy to get started again. Just a few of the new parts on the boat 2 new oil coolers 2 new sea pump impellers and assemblies all new belts 2 water circ pump deletes. working thermostats carbs rebuilt new coils/ packs/ wires billet sea pump pullies 2 elec fuel pumps. new gaskets from the ex mani's up If a cafe isnt your style, we can build any boat for any budget. we have a carbon 92 gun coming next week, and a P29 soon after. contact about custom paint as well! Call or text any time. I love talking boats, but please, if you dont have the funding, or intentions to buy it, don't waste our time please, or if "your looking for your dad" then have your dad contact us. THANKS! THE ADD WONT LET ME POST MORE THAN 1 PHOTO. PLEASE CONTACT FOR MORE PHOTOS via text or email.

Sorry but there is so much wrong with that Ad Description where to begin is difficult. Why post on your ad about other boats and that you love to talk boats. Odd insert there. New coils and packs, coil packs? not so much on these motors. 6 brand new bearings, so you did out side or just inside or many flip a coin at each spindle? I digress

The transom picture showing the drain plug looks as though he didn't remove much and sorta taped around things. I know, it's a small area that most will not see but sadly that probably is a photo resume of his work and ethic.

Sick Stinger 10-03-2014 04:55 PM

Actually he tried to tape around the gimbals transom assemblies water pick ups IE all on the back of the boat. If motors were pulled just unbolts it all. Seals are cheap and new is better as they wont be dry and brittle and possibly leak. Plus with hardware removed at minimum you can rattle can them to make it a little easier on the eye. And speaking of the drain hole, that seems to be an oil stain draining out and onto the hull. The Power steering didn't work so I would venture to say that's PS fluid leaking out and down the keel.

Love all you guys out there defending this work, and backing this guy, come on take a look at what you are defending.. read this post from page 1 like I did.. yeh it has gone on way to long and kind of gotten out of control but, do any of you guys want your boat to look like this when you get it back after a restore.. Nope don't think so, Phil do us a favor take a couple of years and work with a professional who can teach you a few things, then get back in, start your own business when you actually are ready, with the drive you have you will go far.

You guys are tearing each other apart over what? The haters here are 100% correct in calling him out!! All you guys blowing him and telling him hey good job buddy, blah blah blah, that is what is wrong with society today, everybody is a winner...... No,No,No you need to earn respect not do half ass shabby work and make a couple friends who feel sorry for you because your 19...seriously?? This kid has caused full grown men to act like children.

Looks great!! I totally understand why phil is sick and tired of all these tire kickers. He is giving that thing away at 30g. The audacity of some guys, to not jump on such a great deal. Dont they realize its a CIGARETTE! How can you not want to feel the wind in your face at 59mph, the superb feel of cable steering! A little rust on the engines, and some old gauges, gives it character.

The survey said 0% moisture. I think the surveyor might need to actually turn his meter on next time. :nicethread:
