Just keep doing what you`re doing man, don`t worry about the rest. Boat looks great, the paint job is unique and you can tell what boat it is from a mile away.

MMB and Smokin gun . Although I might see your frustration in the way the boat was acquired but it is not the purchasers business ethics or morals that should be debated , I am assuming that he did not buy the boat at gun point and I get the sense that the original deposit was nominal not substantial as in your example and I not sure there was even a contract drawn up, and I trust it was returned to the original purchaser. So if you have an issue with anyone here I think the vendor in this case is at fault not the purchaser. 315 made the vendor an offer , it was up to the vendor to say no thank you I have a deposit in hand . Remember a conditional offer is just that conditional , as I said earlier the vendor should have given the original purchaser the option at least to firm up his offer .
Just my 2 cents. RG.[/QUOTE I have no frustration with it at all .. Go back and read my post I was replying to what someone else said about taking a dep I could care less how he acquired the boat |

I assume you were referring to my post about a deposit. I referred to the deposit the same way Rick did above just in a different manner. Conditional offer, small deposit to show your serious? That's just what it was. No contract, no large sum down from the gist I get. It's a contingent thing. Whenever I'm selling anything (and I slang a lot of stuff ) - boats, cars, parts, watches, art whatever - I get people all the time that want to put a deposit down. 90% of the time I just tell them to come back when they have al the cash. The other 10% when someone is pushy about it, I'm pretty clear that if someone shows up with the asking price...it's for sale until it's paid for and gone. As a seller of this boat, I would have contacted the person that gave me the deposit and advised them I'm about to sell it, matter of fact I just did that with a set of rims I sold, it's good business but hey man, it's business. Nope not you either .. |
I guess being a Realtor that buys and sells houses for a living. I am used to contracts with settlement dates. To each his own, sorry I got into D-Max's thread.
Would like to see some more pics of the boat!! |
still sticking to my original evaluation of the boat...anything above 40k is la la land. reality is the market isn't there for Cafe's. everyone wants a top gun and even then nice moderately priced ones are not selling. hope you prove me wrong. GLWS!!
