i was also wondering if you guys could hold back on this thread til tomorrow night through the weekend. we got a 24 hour drive after work tomorrow and we need some good material to keep us occupied
thanks in advance Tim and Kevin |
Doesn't a 3 sit deeper so you have to raise the X also?
|
Isn't the 3 2 inches longer Than a trs? Why would you want to use the same drive height with a speed master ? Wouldn't you want to take advantage of the the much better prop selection that they offer and try to run it higher ? It would probably run slower if kept the same drive height .

My Buddy Baronmarine on here just mounted 3AS on his 38 Topgun and He is fully capable of doing it himself but hired it out . I don;t think it was a cut and dry easy job.
I am quite sure you have to raise the X and with that remount the raised motor mounts . |
Speedy tailstocks are shorter so the motors need to move back and plates remounted anyway. No big deal.
