A good shrink wrap is what he needs. Any type of trailering cover going that far will hurt the paint etc.

Shrink wrap it down and around the steps, cheap protection for what I assume is a beautiful boat. Cover won't do for that kind of long haull

BAD idea.... it the paint looks good and shines...it won't with a long haul and fully covered.

A full trailering cover works just fine if it is a good quality. I go back and forth to Florida with mine and never had a problem. The cover goes down to the chines, zips up the bow and has more tie down chords than Obama has lies.

I don't think everyone is saying that a custom made, perfect cover won't trailer. I know a couple of places that make pretty much a boat condom that will defiantly do the job, but that fact is, is that he transporting the boat that he just purchased. If he wants a custom cover down the road and gets it fitted then he will be fine. Platforms, running gear, windshields sometimes very the fit and finish. The quickest best short term solution is to get the boat shrink wrapped and delivered. Good luck, This thread needs a picture of the boat in question to make it legit....lol
