Question Thoughts on my idea :

I was thinking of getting someone to wrap the underside of my hatch in Carbon Fiber.
You guys think it would last?
Look good?

I think it would look fantastic , hanging upside down and subject possibly long stretches of heat I would be concerned it might start to sag. But having said that I have a number of performance stickers under my hatch and it's a few years and they are stilling hanging in . The only other consideration is that at night should you need to work in your bilge the dark color will not reflect light very well . So I say go for and don't break down at night .
Cheers RG.

I think it would look good. I have had vinyl decals under a hatch before(cigarette mistress) and they held up. Don't know why good quality vinyl carbon fiber wouldn't. Unique and cool.

they make all kinds of high end car panels and hoods out of carbon fiber so i would think it will hold up just fine. another thought would be to use 3m spray glue and cover the underside of your hatch in carbon fiber upholstery

3m makes a high adhesion primer for wrap vinyl, I believe its called '94". I would also use a high gloss 2D vinyl as opposed to the 3D vinyl. The 2d would be smooth and clean easier will the 3D has a carbon texture which would cacth belt dust etc,,,, I would also find someone local to you with some skill at doing wraps instead of doing it yourself.

Why not mirror-plex to show off those engines?

Mine stays pretty clean, I did the regular mirror-plex and then the red tinted. Looks better in person than the picture
