Default Battery question on switches

38 top gun 2003 2 batt switches .. How do u guys run the switches ??
Stbd on 1 port on 2 or run both on all .. In the past I've always run on all
But with efi I'm told to run batts seperate as the motors will talk to each other
And believe it or not if I run on both they seem to stall now and then .. Problem is if I run them seperate I lose power
To some stuff .. Power cabin door radio 1 Bildge pump ect
Can't believe its setup this way

Oddly enough my flat deck is wired the same way . When I rerigged my switches I noticed only one of the switches had a power feed that powers a lot of non engine related functions . I haven't figured out a way to solve the issue yet.

I have owned mine for about a year now. Always run the switches on all, haven't had any problems so far. I have always ran all my boats with the battery switches on all, never any problems.

I had only 2 batteries on mine, 1 of which was double duty with house loads. I added a 3rd battery and switch to the system. Moved my house loads to that 3rd battery.

Based on that, I run port on 2, starboard on 1. House battery is either on or off.

Additionally, I added a Blue Seas ACR from the port charging system to top off the house battery while underway. When boat is not on the water (at home), I use shorepower to charge/maintain all batteries.

I looked last night and there is a big warning on mine to not run on "all".

Personally o don't think it's a big deal either way but mine very clearly says not to
