I'm curious. What are those mercs based off of? Are they a whole merc casting or still a big chev short block with dohc heads and a fancy front cover? Looks badass either way.

Chevy, 9.0 liter - 552 cubes.

Best of all runs on 89 octane.

Very sharp! I love how the paint lines narrow through the engine hatch. It really changes the lines of the boat from the overhead view. I can't wait to see the finished project. Congrats!

Engines are Mercury Racing's standard 'Devil Red' primary red in boat is 'Ferrari Red' with lots of shading and fading. Very close though.

7 weeks and counting...
