Well Cigarette brothers Project X has officially begun. Just returned from Miami where we placed our 42X order with Cigarette. What an experience. We got to work in Cigarette's new Design Center, this was amazing. Cigarette has really raised the bar when it comes to designing a custom performance boat. When we built our 2011 Top Gun the process took several visits to the factory over a 30 day period, we actually accomplished 90% of Project X in 4.5 hours.
Power will be the 1100QVC4v / M8.
Will be working thru several renderings over the next several days before graphics are finalized. We're working toward an April delivery.
My goal is to share the entire build process here on OSO under this thread.
Stay tuned!

Great question. Really considered 1350's, three primary reason's 1) fuel, 1100's run on 89 octane. Non-ethanol 89 is easy to come by on most lakes, 93 not so much. 2) Engine life. 3) 42 X with 1100's put boat in targeted WOT speed range.
