Default Windshield: 38 TG fit a 35 TG?

One of my many winter projects is to remove my old school flaps and install a windshield. I called LipShip and they were not 100% sure if a windshield for a 38 will fit a 35. Does anyone have any experience with putting a windshield on a 2000 35 Top Gun? I thought about ordering it and modifying as needed. Thanks

Same beam on both boats, I would think it will fit the same. Good luck, what a difference the wind screen makes. You will love it.

Ordered one from LipShip for my 35 TG a few years back. They will color match the paint on the back side of the screen to match your boat for a small upcharge. Mine fit really well and was pretty easy to install. Night and day on driving comfort compared to the flaps.

Thanks for the feedback. Did the windshield cover the old holes from the flaps? I hear yes and no.

Yes. I filled them with silicone before installing the screen, but they were completely covered anyway. It won't cover the small holes where the plastic clips are that hold the flaps, but I just reinserted the screws after removing the clips and it really wasn't noticeable. Drill your holes with a bit of countersink when mounting the bracket to keep your gelcoat from wanting to crack when you install the screws. If you're really anal, it's worth spending a little extra on shipping to have them send you the kit... mount the bracket where it's going to go... C-clamp the screen on the bracket... then draw a line across the back of the screen using the top of the bracket as a guide for where the paint needs to be. Then ship it back to them for painting exactly up to where the top of the bracket is on the screen. No two decks are exactly the same, so that's the only way to get a true factory-look finish without them having the boat (unless you plan to do the painting locally). Hope that helps. Good luck!

Not sure where you are at but Vincent at LOTO did my paint match. As for clip holes- just countersunk a screw flush with deck.

Like they all said Great addition

Sorry its so dirty- this was just after towing it back in the rain.

Here are a few shots of it on the "Bunny Lounge" makes a huge difference. My wife loves it over the flaps I had on the Top Gun

Remember if you have a full cover and install a windshield you will have to refit cover.
