I own Yamaha24's previous boat. It actually doesn't surprise me in the least he is replacing the motors, he is going for perfection. He is an extremely particular person, his boats reflect that. I was sent to several pictures throughout the build of this boat, the little details set this boat apart from all the others. Looks great bud!

Must have been some serious flakes...never heard someone replacing motors for this reason...
If you must know all the details, when we were in LOTO I had an exhaust gasket fail on the starboard engine, starboard side. If you have ever replaced one you know the starboard side is a pain in the *** to change, anyways had to disconnect completely and that is when we first found rust flakes as big as corn flakes inside there, actually dumped them out on the dock. That is when I made the decision to pound the **** out of those motors the rest of the season as they are now going into the scrap pile anyways. Hopefully this helps.... A big thank you to 2nd Amendment race team as they supplied me with a replacement exhaust gasket. |

Boat looks amazing

Great job really turned out nice!!

Great project! Your attention to detail is evident. There is a cost associated with each turn and for those of us who have been through these types of projects with a TG, it becomes glaringly obvious when a corner is cut. Definitely not the case with your boat!!!

There is quite a large custom steel manufacturing place that was nice enough to re-cut all my panels ect. for the boat all out of Stainless, there was a few redo's but they took care of it, we had these battery covers they made for us also, I am looking forward to the day when I am attaching these, that day should be the day I actually "done" with this build.... I actually really enjoyed doing this project, although I wouldn't mind waiting a couple years do do another one. |
