Thanks Man!

Now I am trying to figure out what to do with the interior it is in the upholstery shop now I am updating just a bit not as much as I would like but should look pretty nice.
I bought a new motor for cabin door that will double the speed the original was sooooooo slow, I actually wanted to remove motor but I could not find a latch assembly I liked.
My new gauges are in.
My new dash panels are cut, I am removing the compass pod and installing a Garmin 741XS.
I just about have everyone one of my new parts in my shop.
Engines are so close to being ready. I could really use a nice complete intake though, I was able to find one in excellent shape, I need one more.
Have some many late nights coming putting this thing back together.

i know this may sound nuts but check out the wake boats they are way ahead of most offshore builders for interiors

Man that thing is beautiful!

jmackin 03-13-2015 09:33 PM

Sweet. What did you decide to do in the cabin? Seems most or all the 2000's were 1/2 cabins. Wonder if there was a reason???

Thanks to everyone for the compliments!! Boat looks absolutely amazing I cannot wait to get it back together.
Only thing I do not like is the windscreen I had it painted to match seems to tall, I am going to cut it down a couple inches other than that looks pretty amazing.

Great idea on the wind screen, be careful cutting it down to much, boat is beautiful.

Where do I start I do not have the time to list everything, getting ready to go on a vacation tomorrow from the last month of working on boat everyday, just say this everything is brand new LOL. I mean everything. Only thing left from when I bought would be the wiring harness and trim pumps which I had rebuilt.
Finally got my trailer yesterday so boat is off getting its brand new interior in the next couple weeks.

One of the biggest ads I ordered was Whipples last week, I could not bring myself to have all this work done and put back together to go in the low 80's just did not seem right.
Whipples will be here next week, engines will be completed and interior should be done by June 20th, 2 days after that have some more welding to be done and boat should be in the water by the 27th I hope.....

I will share many pics when boat is 100% complete.
Here is a couple.
I was really wanting to wait until complete to post pics, there is things that are out for paint ect now..

I like those battery hold downs, where did you get them, or are they custom made/machined?

A company called get real out of California makes them, same place I bought my new trim reservoirs from.
I also bought the tops that hide the wires.

Thanks for the compliments, I am lucky to be friends with a guy who has extreme talent and a passion for offshore boats, not to mention his connections are endless. Without him I would not have done this project.
Boat is done right thanks to him. I will have him with me at LOTO this year if someone feels the urge to spend piles of cash on a correct restore...lol..

SLOWRIDE-388 06-06-2015 12:34 PM

This ride is truly bad ass! Congrats and well done. Look forward to seeing it at LOTO.

HOSSMAN 06-06-2015 04:10 PM

Just read through all of this and all I can say is you have done an amazing job sir. One of the sexiest GUN"s I have seen and like someone said in the beginning that is the top of my food chain too.... Maybe our next one we can step over in to one. Beautiful ride man, enjoy and thanks for keeping another classic alive! Cheers!

ICDEDPPL 06-06-2015 11:10 PM

I think this boat defines the term "taken care of with an open checkbook"
Damn, nice work

Yamaha24 06-07-2015 08:56 AM

You guys better stop you are starting to make me blush lol... Seriously, thank you for the compliments. It is turning out better than I ever thought. I cannot wait to see how XT Innovations finishes out the interior. I am like a kid at Christmas morning waiting to open presents. It is going to be a long 2-3 weeks until complete,I should get to hear engines run next week sometime so that will help.

Full Force 06-07-2015 08:18 PM

Hope to see it this summer if you come to our islands...

Here you go, I cannot say enough about Dave and the guys at XT did amazing work, nothing like the chumps around me who have really no idea what they are doing.

Right now boat is getting some touch ups done at Mitcher T, another amazing business to deal with, then boat heads to XT to get the cabin redone to match exterior interior........ Then I take boat down to Chief engines to get my new motors installed, sometime in February, going to do all my tuning and testing with Chief, do some boating in Florida, then just wait patiently for spring to arrive....

I will actually have a boat 100% put together this year.

Well...... Boat ran great and I have put approx 40-50 hours on boat, with that being said....

Salt Water Salt Water Salt Water, after some exploring found major rust flakes building up all over engine. I actually knew better then to do this to those old blocks, this is not my first time in this situation, but I did it anyways.

Since summer is so short I decided to buy some brand new 540's from Chief to prevent a failure in the middle of the season next year. I am not looking for anymore speed,I am at 98-100 with 4 blades,
I am happy with those #'s, I just do not want to miss any boating time next season.

Now I find myself looking at other boats as this one is almost 100% done, I need to just stop LOL.
