Talk to Joe at Midwest boat broker, he is the owner. I'd hope you would get a little better communication from him.

I'm going to go with my gut and pass on this boat...too many things telling me to walk away.

The boat s a time capsule, never been in the cabin though. Owners are nice they just don't make it to the lake very often anymore. Boat seemed very well maintained to me. It sounds great!

I dont think it's that over priced if it's a clean solid boat, to build 700HP 540's alone cost well into the 30,000.00 range, has 3's, looks solid... I am sure it needs some work or updating but every old boat does, but to me the big money is spent here....

you do not need race fuel to make 700 hp, most of the 540 builds are 9-9.5:1 compression...I think if it had a trailer and at 36-38,000 it's a good buy, the trailer kills it for many....

I see it all over CL. I would imagine a cash offer in the low 30's this time of year would buy it.

i never understood how one can "own" a facebook/instagram page or how they can "get a kickback on anything that sells"... no ones making any money with a facebook page...other than Facebook.. at least to my knowledge... anyways, about the boat, saw it in LOTO and it sounds BAD AZZ. some buddies out there tell me its very well maintained. to the OP not sure why you would "see too many things to walk away" its a big power/drive orig cafe. throw some nice paint interior and gauges and youll have a *****in cafe.

For once we agree on one thing, but I would not say that boat needs paint.... That kinda look on that boat is perfect old school... And it should be kept that way... If it was pink and teal that would be different....

I just received a few messages from Matt.
He had some health issues and wasn't able to answer my questions yesterday, and he apologized for anything he said that may have offended me.

That boat is an original Hawk all the #3 boats used Kevlar in the secondary bonding areas for added strength. I would pay mid 30's for it if it checked out all day. I personally love the paint and old school black dash. Add some new gauges and panels and you have a Real reliable Lake Erie wave crusher.

I agree, boats super clean in the pics. Great super reliable motor drive package. And I totally agree that some new red faces gauges, with chrome things and bezels and new Latham control with chrome bases and red tops with a new steering wheel would make that dash POP!!!

I'm thinking 75. Trannies, and the cafe hull was not as efficient as the gun. Gun with 650hp a side and 3a's runs. 74.

My MIstress with same hull runs 73.5 with 600 hp and TRS... this HAS to go 78 if it has 700hp, 3' take a few more hp to turn but thats 200 hp over mine.

maybe but not sure I agree with that....my buddy's 36 wide with 3's and 700's hits 78-80....
