looking for a few #6 top guns
 

i'm looking for any information you may have on the following top guns. the first is the red #6 tg with the superman on the side, the second is the yellow, green, purple #6 tg with the sit down seats and foot pedals. the first two where at lake cumberland at one time i believe. the third is the yellow #6 tg in canada with the cactus on the front and a snake down the side. any information on these boats would be appreciated, thank you.

Haven't seen the red superman boat since it was sitting derigged at Cumberland. Same with the green and purple one but it was out here on the west coast for the scope poker run maybe back in 05. It's kindve a weird boat. Almost looked as if the dash was pushed forward. It's a. 6 man standup boat not sit down and yes, it had a foot peddle.

The last one was owned by an Australian gentleman - kangaroo Rat. Saw it up close at the key west poker run in about 06 or 07. There was some threads on it on here. I think it ended up on the east coast. It has a crazy big stereo on it and was bad ass. I have pics of all of them somewhere. Just have to find them.

Are you putting #6's on your Top Gun??? Not very many of them out there!

Hey Tank - do you remember/see what he was running for motors in Kangaroo Rat last time you saw it?

no, i would rather buy one done already properly set up for six's. mine currently has fresh 3's with #5 gimbles. i may try a set of 5's but i think the x will be too high. it runs good now with the 3's, it'll be interesting to see how it runs with more hp this summer with the 3's. i will sell it with which ever set up works best.

do you remember if the green and purple boat was a tg or a flat deck? if memory serves, it was a 1990 ish boat, same with the red one. was there anything special about either of them?

Delso has the rat boat for sale, Tim didn't tell you that ? I told him to contact Dave a month or 2 ago.

Superman went oversees. I found it for sale not to long ago. It is no longer a 6-drive boat...

He actually broke just outside Biscayne on the run down to the keys. We circled around to make sure he was alright and he said they were working on an issue and were ok. But the boat never made it to key west. :(

The final conclusion is it's a gun. There's something different about the dash/fairing. I think it's a gun but it's got a modified dash that makes it stand out a little.

Did you see Ruckus is for sale? Little steep but that boat was always a favorite. Built by Jeff Cheng (creator of OSO) then bought by Anna (blonde cig chick) and then resold to a guy in Chicago who is selling I believe.

There was only about 13 #6 straight guns. Only like 5 TS #6 guns.

That thing must have sounded incredible with those giant N/A's!!! Old School II had a great rumble to it with N/A 750's at 582cu.....currently at Dave's (Wesco) getting rebuilt with his magic touches....stay tuned...

The six drive is the only way to go on the 39. We built a new 39 in 2011 and according to Bud at Cigarette we were the first new build with the 700/ six drive set up. He said it was the best handling 700/39 boat ever built. Think it became the norm after that.

I would nearly wet myself every time I was next to or road on "out of control" 38 TS Cig that has NA Zuls in it. Was owned by Kevin Schulte in ca for many years, then went out east and then came back, purchased by another buddy. That snappy crackling of big HP N/A is just bad azz.

Matt, your boat does sound bad azz! The day we started it in the back of Ocean Performance I think was the nail in the coffin for you! LOL... Those Stainless Marine gen III manifolds sound great for not being a full big tube header. Can you post the vid of it running that day????

Some of the factory 6 boats had the drives to low. I put mine on. And now in process of putting them on Lock And Load. Staggered gun.

There is an all white one around here with scoops. I don't think it was factory though. Might be down around Simmons marine? I saw him at the Lake Erie Poker Run that stopped at Shooters.

the kangaroo rat is still running 632 NAs with fresh hydraulic roller valvetrain should be around 750hp
the paint job love it or hate is in fantastic shape -- shines like new

Eddie has one at Lake Ozark Marine. 1990 Kevlar #6 boat I believe.

Love that boat, should have just bought that....... ugh!

Assuming everything works and doesn't need a major overhaul, that's a really good price. It must need rebuilds or something, or I could be way off base. Someone needs that boat.

Jesus, I could sell all my parts / boat as-is, buy that thing and still be ahead.

I don't know if you could pull off owning that boat in Ohio.. Those colors could get you in a heap of trouble... Go Blue!

No, Ron Songrath who built it new sold it to James Safa (now owns a skater) who ran it for a season or so and then sold it to a guy on LOTO. I'm not 100% sure but I think that owner sold it to someone else on LOTO

Old school II always sounded great, there was a vid a while back of it docking with the 1200's that Craig bought it with... just sounds awesome.
