Rob, did you stick with the XR lower and then SC lower versus the SCX lower for any particular reason?

I did, i stayed with the xr as they were supposedly faster than the scx lower, however they should have given a little more speed and they were very deep, so i went with the sc -2 as it is faster than the SCX, i will check the gears and as long as i am not tearing them up i will stick with it. it really freed the hull up and got me the rpms i needed, but half inch down should bring the bow up more even though i am already turning in.

Kind of what I figured. The SCX lower seems like it has a tendency to be an anchor for straight bottom V's. Too bad really as it seems to be a really strong setup. Be nice if IMCO would make some better gears to go in the SC lower instead of using the Mercury gears. The SCX/SC setup seems to be the ticket for not losing speed.

Thank you, its just time for something different, the original owner did this and he had his twin step done the same (minor differences)... The deck is now faded and chalky, But I am going to have Richy Rich do a custom job, that will make it look like a newer model and he has some artistic freedom to make it look even better, still going to be orange.. after all it is "The Orange Palace"
