Default 1996 Top Gun in the classifieds-questions

Does anyone know the story behind the 1996 straight bottom in the classifieds? It's been for sale forever it seems like and they are now asking 54k for it. Fast Boats Marine Group has it listed.

Is it just oxidized gel or a lot worse than that?

Been for sale for at least 2 years! If not more!
525 sc maybe slows down buyers?

you would have to go look at it, everyone's idea of a nice clean boat is different. it's kind of like the word "restored" to me, that means from top to bottom, every nut and bolt and to others, it may mean new paint.

Its a can of worms trust me. Look close. My boat was a steal and it took 6 months to sell w trailer. it was turn key and reliable. Another 25k and you have a lot of options.

Thanks guys. That's kind of what I was thinking.

What's a descent price on a mid to late 90's model. Lots of factors I know but considering standard power in the merc line up?

525SC's do not like salt water. The intakes corrode badly around the water ports.

My 525SC had 200hrs of salt usage and flushed after use. When I did a top end refresh at 340hrs, the intakes needed a lot of welding repair.
