Default Are cockpit covers interchangeable?

Most Top Guns have the little twisty thingy's around the cockpit.... is it safe to assume that these are located in the same place in similar model years?
So if I were to buy a cockpit cover and bought a used one of the same year - can I expect it to fit and those thingy's are in the same spot?
Thanks!

I've bought a few over the years. The template for the material is the same....but the turnbuckles aren't all going to line up in most cases. I was able to use all of the ones that I bought for indoor storage or as a temp

For what it's worth, you can make a used cover work....but I would say (based on experience) that you would be better off getting a cover made for your boat...

Thanks for the reply. I actually had a new one made and was going to sell my old one. I was just wondering if that was an issue someone with a like year cigarette would face. I see them sell every now and then, so I assume there is 'some' interest in used covers... thanks!
I love your avatar btw.... that's one my favorite movies!

Nice gun in your avatar! That was and is still my favorite paint jobs of the guns of that vintage. It looks like Von Bongo's old boat. As for the cover I agree with Old School...

Thanks for the compliment! It is his old boat, I bought it from him back in the fall of 07 and did some freshening up.
