For what it's worth dan, I was on my buddies boat and they asked to raise the engine hatch on his 388 and started asking all about specifically if the flame arrestors are stock

Not so much to do with the coast guard pulling you over and inspecting, rather in the event of an insurance claim, that could be grounds for denying a claim. I've heard it happening to a guy who didn't have USCG fuel pumps. Threw a blower belt, broke a fuel line, boat burnt. Insurance said nope have a nice day,

Ya cause I needed the spare motors for my carbon top gun!!! LOL nothing is sold until it's hooked onto someone's truck headed home. We'd all be rich if everyone who left a deposit and said they wanted it actually bought it. Cash talks as we all know... Oh well, looks like I'm buying 540's for my carbon boat. Sucks I missed this deal lol

The CG and Erie county sheriffs have been sporadically checking for flame arresters and exhaust mods here on the Niagara river but have yet to hear of a ticket issued unless the person was being a complete dick.
