not saying gordon won't make the boat right but refer to Yamaha's thread about re-building boats. there are different levels: the wrong way, the semi ok way, and the right way. As mentioned, to make that boat right with good hardware will take considerably more than what you think. I spec' out over 50k just in hardware. even if the boat comes with the swim platform it's probably a couple thousand just to make it useable again (ie. Fiberglass work on transom, strip platform, re work dinged up areas, and powdercoat). Unless of course you do it yourself which again takes time, money, and effort to make it right.

you guys crack me up ..it could use a new trailer wtf it has a brand new 18.000 lb trailer under it.. elec over hyd brakes elec jack.. torsion axles .leds .granted its not a myco but really a new trailer .. really whats your boat like by the way it sounds yours must have the best of the best ...way to much negativity on this site ..I think im qualified to put this boat together with the correct parts and make it nice again .
To answer your question no my boat certainly isn't the best of the best. I wish it was. For being a 20 year old boat tho it shows better than most newer boats. I've dumped over 15k into making it new again (I.e. Paint, top end re-builds, etc). Are there things I would change, most certainly. next is carpets and re-finishing the swim platform knowing it will cost a couple thousand to get it done.

Bunks go all the way to the transom, so it is being supported. Hoist has room to move forward also, but I would bet if this trailer was setup for this boat with no motors in it, the boat is set back on the trailer to keep tongue weight down. These things get really heavy up front without a pair of big blocks on the back side.

I ONLY type that as I type from experience. I had a very similarly designed trailer years ago, and I had to redo the whole damn thing; and it was still what I would describe as sub-par.
If the boat is going to live on a lift, and only see the trailer for occasional transport; it's fine. But if the boat is going to live on that trailer full time; upgrade.
Just keep an eye out for this happening; either outward or downward:

I hate to type this, but while that trailer may fit the boat, it's not suited to the boat. Notice the wood bunks hang significantly past the last frame cross member. This is a TERRIBLE trailer design & flaw. That wood will warm over time with the weight on top of it, and is a liability to the hull. It probably floats too.
